Hello friends and fellow artist,
Sometime ago I developed a saying, and that is: Life is hard, and then is gets harder. We all have ordinary day-to-day stresses, then along come something, BANG! This week was on example with this nasty ice storm. I haven’t been out of my house since last Wednesday. Fortunately, there is still food in the pantry. Last night I woke up to a horrible scraping banging sound, it scared me to death. Then I figured out that it was ice sliding off the roof in a big chunk. I just hope none of the shingles slid off with it. Then I hear the Flu is very severe this year, and when something like that hits you, you just have to grin and bare it , I guess.
But sometimes, life really smacks you with a wallop. I have a couple of friend who are face with life-threatening situations. At times like that, we realize how vulnerable the human body is. For instance, two tiny little blood clots deprived me of my vision. The first one in 2000, and the second in 2016. I know this is not a life threatening condition, but it did take away my life as I knew it, and forced me into a new life. But thats the situation that you just have to learn to accept and make the best of it. But to all of those who are facing true emergencies, we all at Topsail Island Visions wish them the very best. We will be thinking about those folks and their family members.
Wishing you grace, peace, and serenity of spirt,
