Hello Friend and Fellow Artist!

The most fun part about painting with Topsail Island Visions Kits is the way the paint is applied – By finger painting!

A visually impaired person, naturally, has trouble trying to paint fine lines with a paint brush. So, with our texture boards, which has a raised image, it is easy to feel where the paint should be applied. Yesterday, Cheryl and I had a painting session and painted angels. We began by painting the background yellow- what a wonderful scent the yellow paint has! Then we painted over that with purple, next came white paint on the angel. Then the real fun began (each layer has to dry before the next layer is put on.) I put dabs of silver paint over the angle, then sprayed it with water to produce the dripping affect. Next came the gold paint, also with the dripping effect, to make it looks like streams of goodness falling down on the angel. I gave her some gold and brown hair, and put streaks of gold down her white robe. voila! an angel was born!

Some of our kits can be found at Carolina Decor and more in Surf City and Whats Blooming in Sneads Ferry, if you need a last minute gift for someone who needs to dip their fingers in paint.

Merry Christmas!
